The Italian-American Genealogy Group (Washington, DC, Metropolitan Area) held its quarterly meeting on July 19, 2014 at the Dolley Madison Library, 1244 Oak Ridge Avenue, McLean, Virginia.

Our speaker for the July 19, 2014 meeting was Marie Varrelman Melchiori, CG, CGL of Melchiori Research Services, L.L.C.  Marie provided information about the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).  For more information go to the USCIS website at http://www.uscis.gov/genealogy

The remaining time was spent sharing our Italian genealogy research accomplishments, personal experiences and a few ‘how-to’ questions. 

Our next meeting is scheduled for October 25, 2014 at the Westover Branch Library, 1644 N. Our meetings run from 10 am until about 12:30 pm. After our meetings everyone is welcome to join us for lunch at a local restaurant
